Let me simplify this issue for you.

On the spot vote counting is the best way to minimize election day fraud.
Representatives of the different can, by their presence at the polling
stations, make sure that the ballot boxes are not tampered with.

On the other hand, transporting the boxes to a different venue for counting
simply opens the door for all sorts of fraudulent practices.

So you have two choices: The first one is a surefire way of minimizing
election day fraud, while the second one makes it easier for an already
corrupt regime to steal votes.

Which one would you chose were you in the Opposition's shoes?
