Firstly, just because someone makes GRTS programs available for anyone
to watch doesn't necessarily mean they are APRC supporters, or that
they are somehow getting some kinda benefits from the current
government.  Surely we are all adult enough and mature enough to
realize that.  Personally, I think making these programs available is
truly enlightening because anyone can see what obtains in The Gambia
and the way that certain issues are treated.  However, I've only
watched a few times as I literally can't stomach watching how Jammeh is
fawned over (saying his name alone complete with all of the titles
takes 30 seconds alone).  And not to mention how things like
international news, i.e., the current oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico,
takes a huge backseat to the Kanilai festival (I think even the treason
trial was not even the lead story).

Now I don't have access to the visual aspect obviously (perhaps the
sighted readership can help me out here) but what GRTS news sounds like
to me is a bunch of people pretending to be journalists while they fawn
over the President and anything he does.  I mean, it's worse than Fox
News during and after Bush.  And if you can make even Fox News look
rational and well-presented that's really saying something.

And just to see how much of a Jammeh mouthpiece GRTS has become, let's
just wait and see how they report (or not) on the huge cocaine bust
that just happened.

I'm telling you, I get the same reaction when listening to GRTS that I
do when listening to Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity, etc., I can feel my
blood pressure rising, etc., so it's not good for my health to watch
*smile*.  So I don't watch that often if at all anymore.
