Brother Mose! Since you were in Banjul on vacation and somewhat,
fact-finding/eye-opener on the sociopoliticoeconomic myths or realities of
APRC a la Yaya Jammeh, do you think the man, just like Jawara, will ever
dream of such suicidal thought? AFPRC/APRC likewise PPP under Jawara, is/was
a one-man show. Everything revolves/d around the aforementioned two. The PLAY
OF THE GAME SHOW, waged by Jawara, created a secret, sometimes open rivalry
between Saihou Sabally and Bakary Darboe to his, Jawara's benefit and
survival. Hence, Gambians came to know of Jawara and only Jawara, until the
unfortunately fortunate day of July 22, 1994. Yahya Jammeh calling for such
resignation, will witness the worst case scenario for Gambia and Gambians.
Why? The scary though of mentioning the names: Baabaa Black...oops... Dumb
Sheep Jobe, Edward Singhateh and Yankuba Touray fighting for power, will take
us down another decade. My opinion is, for Jammeh to stay and watch APRC
disintegrate, resulting in a clear cut win for the opposition. Then, Gambia
and Gambians, by force or legal means, will be able to right the wrongs
committed by Jammeh et al. since 1994. I'll be remiss, if the question of
Jawara and PPP is not mentioned. Why not? We need a clean landscape to
restart with.
What's your take?
Ams
