I want to take time in commending you for
starting a wireless transfer to The Gambia. I
will try to use your services in the future.
I also want to commend you for criticizing
Tombong for not wanting to reply to all the
questions posted to him. His excuse, because
some members use fake names. The issue is
not the fake name, but the content and truth
of the questions.
May I suggest that we refrain from asking
Tombong questions if he refuses to acknowledge
other members of the struggle. I think it is
injustice and lack of concern for Tombong to
speak with his mouth full. He set the debate
and now he is giving silly excuses. Brother,
this man is not serious.
Mr. Saidy for your information, I am Muhammad

Thanks for the response to my questions. I cannot take you up on the issue
of the effect of training on the quality of your services at GRTS, since I
am in no position to access your programs. The last time I saw anything on
GRTS was back at the end of 1996 to early 1997 when I was on a brief trip
home. Since then I have not had a chance to view one clip from GRTS. Perhaps
you can accord me the chance one day. I will leave this aspect of the debate
to those who are more familiar with the situation and have ready access to
your programs on a regular basis. Karamba, your plate.
I am however disturbed by the tone with which you started your response. You
are the one who decided to start a debate with members of the list, knowing
fully well that majority of users use pen names on their e-mail addresses.
However these people also sign off their messages with their real names, or
what I percieve, and I believe most people do, as their real given names. I
think that's a wrong signal to start with. I respect your opinion and
respect the fact that you are willing to debate with those you percieve as
"real" people on the list. What makes you think that I'm real? For all I
know, Bamba Laye Jallow may not exist! My point.....if you decide to take US
up on a debate, there should not be any pick and choose based on our names,
pen-names and what not. This is cyberspace, don't expect 100% reality...it's
all virtual!

Are you serious about the above assertions? No offence intended, but do you
think the Gambian people will take the above seriously. Knowing what is
reported about the sackings of Momodou Musa Secka, Peter Gomez(?)and many
others. Do you think you are being factual? I'm sorry but you're not
convincing me.
I honestly believe that your ambitions for GRTS, whether stemming from
personal motivations or otherwise, are great. But the fact remains that you
have a boss for whom you will do anything to keep your job. That alone, is
enough to explain the reported imbalance in coverage going on at the GRTS.
Am I wrong about that?
