Sidibe,
I have no problem with Youssou N'Dour's stand on the impending Iraq war. I'm
just lamenting the fact that my plans to attend his concert in northern
California has been thrown into disarray (I have already booked a flight,
for example).
Despite my view on the impending war, I applaud his principled stand
(considering that he is forgoing a substantial amount of money). I just
don't enjoy having my plans nixed. There was a hint of joke in my post.
Maybe, I should have put a smiley face at the end :)
Even though you are against the war, wouldn't you feel a little down if one
of your favorite musicians cancel a concert you've looking forward to
attending? I bet you would be.
