following matters: * Be sincere in your belief and application of Tawheed.
Keep it free from Shirk, innovations and acts of disobedience so that you
may enter Al-Jannah without account. * Perform Salaah on time and do so with
submission, humbleness and tranquillity. * Pay the Zakaah you owe upon your
wealth, jewelry, and other valuables. * Perform the obligatory fast as well
as voluntary ones according to the teachings of Islaam. * Perform the
obligatory Hajj as soon as possible. * Establish and maintain family ties
especially with your mother and father. * Seek knowledge from the original
sources, namely the Qur'aan and Sunnah, and the statements of
the learned, trustworthy scholars found in books and cassette tapes. *
Invite others to Islaam with wisdom and good advice and do so in the best
manner. * Command what is good and forbid what is evil as much
as you are able. * Make beneficial use of your time by doing righteous deeds
* Raise your children with a righteous upbringing. * Obey your husband in
good matters. * Share in good deeds as much as you can.
Instill within yourself good, praiseworthy qualities. * Constantly seek
Allaah's forgiveness, repent unto Him, and praise and thank Him. * Remember
death and the accounting on the Day of Judgment as well
as Paradise and Hell. * Follow up a bad deed with a good one and deal with
people in a nice manner.* Cover up the faults of the Muslims and defend them
against accusations. Supplicate for all your brothers and sisters in Islaam.
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Islaam Please Avoid: * Innovations, whether in
words or deeds. * Delaying prayer past its time. * Performing prayer without
tranquillity. * Watching films and other forms of entertainment which
involve mixing of the sexes and listening to singing and musical
instruments. * Reading magazines and books which are corruptive. * Producing
pictures or images of things which possess a soul, an act which has been
prohibited in Islaam.
* Privacy with the opposite sex who are not related to you , including
drivers, servants, and others. Try to release yourself from dependency upon
them. * Back-biting and gossiping, making fun of religion, lying, breaking
promises, and cheating. * Wearing pictures of famous personalities and
clothing that contain such pictures and hanging their pictures on the wall.
* Wasting money in weddings, whether in general or on a specific
thing,including throwing food away. * Staying up late at night, especially
when you do so by occupying yourself with deeds that are prohibited or are
of no benefit. * Shaking hands with a person of the opposite sex who is not
related to you. * Cursing, insulting, and supplicating against your children
and yourself (as well as others). * Traveling abroad for tourism which is a
waste of money. Dear Sisters, please avoid: * Displaying your beauty,
created and acquired,in front of men who are not related to you such as the
wearing of tight clothing or clothing that displays parts the body. *
Wearing a face cover that displays the eyes in a way that it exaggerates
one's beauty and attracts and attempts men. * Wearing a face cover that does
not conceal the face and does not, due to its short length, cover the
underchin and neck. * Imitating the non-Muslim women in their clothing and
hair styles. * Plucking the eyebrows, spacing the teeth, letting the
fingernails grow,tattooing, and wearing wigs. * Going alone to the market so
as to avoid a trying situation. * Traveling without a Mahram
(male relative accompanying you whether by plane or otherwise.) * The use of
perfume when you know that you will be around men. * Wearing your hair in a
bun on the top of your head and the use of hair pieces
