Gassa
I have never said i have full knowledge of the Koran.
You very well that in the Gambia we attend Koranic schools (daara) where we
learn to recite verses of the Holy Koran. I attended local koanic
school(daara) where i learn about the Holy Koran and verses that i can use
for my daily prayers. I know very well that according to the Koran
intoxication and eating of Pork is prohibited but i was just wondering if
there is a story behind it but it seems there are people who believe i am
challenging what is in the Koran.I am a practicing muslim and so is my
family. I dont mean to irritate or offend anybody but i believe if there is
something i have little knowledge of then i can ask. I think one of the aims
of the L is to educate and enrich one anothers knowledge. I would rather ask
than going around giving stupid answers.
There are people who says: If one eats pork and die within 40 days that
person may go to hell. There are others who says : If you eat pork and pray,
within 40 days your prayers will not be answered to. This is very confusing
for me. Here in Norway,During christmas me and my family eats turkey or
lamb. Norwegians ask me why i dont eat pork and i tell them i am a muslim
and we are not allowed to eat pork. The first question i get is why
specifically pork, this is very difficult for me to answer thats why i throw
the ball to the L with thw hope of getting a more specific answer if there
is any. I got some answers from Falankoi and jabou.
I think it would be better to direct your questions to Falankoi. I am sure
he can help you.

God bless you
Matarr
