Fellow Gambians and friend,

Today, Lamin Waa Juwara, was taken away from his compound by six individuals
claiming to be from the NIA. This was after a press conference where Juwara
challenged the position of Yaya Jammeh on the Nawetaan ban as well as the
state of the nation.

He had received a call asking him to report to the NIA during the press
conference. Because he could not go at the time, 2 cars with six
individuals paid him a visit. Juwara asked for an arrest warrant or
identification, neither of which was proffered. A push and pull situation
arose and to avoid it's escalation, he agreed to go with them. We do not
know where he is at this time. We will keep you posted as we work to get
him back to his family and to the work at hand - rescuing The Gambia.

Thank you,
Soffie Ceesay
