G-L Community:
On Monday, December 6th, 1999 a graduation party was held to honor Mr.
Yankuba Badjie who will graduate from Miami University's (Middletown
campus)on December 17, 1999, with a degree in Business Technology.  Mr.
Badjie is the second student from Gambia to attend and graduate from
Miami University(Middletown). Badjie gave a good and moving speech in
which he thanked his parents, government officials at home,  the
Middletown community, faculty, staff and students for their support and
friendship.

Linda Watkins, Yankuba's mother in Middletown and Coordinator of
Counseling at the Middletown campus gave the party to honor Yankuba. She
whipped up some good domoda(maffe).

Yankuba, we are proud of you! and as is often said here, "keep up the
good work" and to Linda, thanks for caring.
