George and Hamjatta,

You must have been reading my mind when you sent your
replies. Of late, I've had to double-check the
archives to be sure that I didn't miss some stories,
because of this constant complaints, insinuations, and
aspersions about a gang that is out here to silence
differing opinions. The claim is latently false and
dishonest. Just like in Darwin's "natural selection"
theory, or any group for that matter, some are simply
better than others. So is this forum. Regardless of
what one believes or wishes, objective readers of
ideas are bound to follow the ideas of the smarter
communicator in any setting. Ever heard of the saying
"you can't keep a good man down?" It's only natural.

So, those without much-of-substance to say, or with
positions that are SIMPLY UNTENABLE, need to be honest
with themselves, and admit the truth. People get
silenced here often, NOT because of differing
opinions, but because their positions are SHOWN by
others to LACK MERIT! If it is differing opinions
only, why are Kebba Jobe and Tombong Saidy still here?
Besides, it's part of the maturity of any contributor
here to realize that at least one person will disagree
with ANY piece you put here. And some will jump out of
the blue and insult you without warning -like some
fellow named Omar Ndow did me this week. Even truly
moderate contributors like Dr. Saine and Katim Touray
have been harshly attacked here. The Question one has
to ask is: "Do I burrow myself into the woodwork like
the overwhelming majority here, or do I defend myself
and sally forth?" I don't know anyone who likes to be
attacked and vilified -especially when unjustified. So
you've got to be able to defend what you put here! If
someone goes after what you've put forth, and shows
all of us that your logic, or position doesn't stand
up to scrutiny, then by God, be honest with yourself,
and make a conscious effort to know what you're
talking about next time. We're all better off when
those MOST KNOWLEEGEABLE in a particular subject give
us their wisdom. In truth, no one is an expert in
every field, so our natural abilities, aptitude and
professional training helps take care of that. Let's
not settle for mediocrity under the guise of
"tolerance," or some ridiculous conspiracy theory. Let
our ideas speak for us.

So the pettiness and Desmond Tutu act needs to go.
This is a forum for grown-ups. We can do without the
constant arguments, but we can also do without this
constant and disingenous aspersions about a conspiracy
to silence dissenting opinions. Let's all put forward
our opinions, and let the most sound opinions carry
the day. And let's all back-off and let others decide
for themselves. There's something really turn-off-ish
about constantly pointing to people that others are
keeping you from saying what you believe. It's
un-manly. If you truly believe in something, you'll
say it no matter what: Kebba Jobe Daddy Nying has
shown us all what I mean. So, let's leave the bitching
and whingeing to little kids. We'll never progress,
when pettiness, and petty-jealousy are used as cover
to stifle the opinion of ANYONE who may have a better
idea than our's. Will someone worthy of listening to
please speak up?

Good morning.
Saul.
