Inah-lillah wa inah ile-he rajioun, Allah has recalled our beloved Uncle Papa Mamady Njie this past Tuesday August 31, 2004 in Mount Vernon, New York....Uncle Papa was a Dad, Uncle and friend to many of us...In the absence of our parents uncle Papa was there to make sure we had a "Kilifa" by our side to guide us and give us those words of wisdom we looked forward to at every gathering.
Uncle Papa is survived by his daughters Ann Yassin Njie-Janneh, Ndeye Njie and their mother Aunty May Njie....
My sincere condolences to the Njie, Jallow, Joof, Jagne, Bensouda, Drammeh and the extended families in Banjul, Freetown, The United States and England.
May Our beloved Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) welcome Uncle Papa Mamady Njie in Paradise and may his soul rest in perfect and eternal peace.
Eman Alami-Gaye
