THE Gambia has become the newest member nation of
Lions Club International , bringing the total number
of countries and geographical areas to 193 .
The inauguration took place at a Gala night held at
the Sunbeach Hotel , Cape Point on Saturday 17th July
2004 .The occasation was graced by visiting
digniteries from the sub region .
The Permenent Secretary Ministry of External Affairs ,
Mr Ansumanna Ceesay deputized for His Excellency Alh
Dr. Yaya A J J Jammeh who is the Chief Patron of The
Banjul Premier Lions Club as traditionally adopted in
all countries .
The founder members of the club are ;
