Amidou Baldeh others fired

Reliable sources close to the Department of State for Local Government and
Lands have revealed to the Daily Observer that the assistant commissioner of
CRD, Mr Amidou Baldeh, has been removed from office effective Thursday
November 15.

In a similar development, it was also reported that the director of finance
and administration at the Social Security and Housing Finance Corporation
(SSHFC) Mr Ebrima Njie together with Mrs Amie Jahateh, a private secretary
at the corporation were also removed from office.

No official reasons have been advanced by the authorities for their removal.
In a separate development, the assistant commissioner, URD Mr Lamin
Jobarteh, has now been moved to the CRD as assistant commissioner while Mr
Musa Sey is appointed as the new assistant commissioner URD.
