Sams,
I never denounced your position. When you stated in your posting that Mr.
Sarjo Jallow was slated for Nigeria as Ambassador, my response was: Let’s
hope Mr. Jallow keeps his word to his wife. Please confirm with the
archives! I still maintain that position. You may be sitting on information
that is sealed from the rest of us, but from what i learnt(and i do trust my
source(s), Mr. Jallow was in fact slated for a "higher" portfolio within the
cabinet. If his 'no thanks' came about as a result of not wanting to step on
someone's toes, or that he was keeping up to a promise he made to the woman
in his life, or BOTH, is a matter of speculation! But the fact is he did
promise his wife to step down. Secondly, he did say 'No Thanks' and even
Jemus knows that is the truth. Right Jemus???

This new appointment on The Observer; is very à là Jemus!!!For all we may
know Mr. Jallow maybe reading his appointment on the Observer. I will be
very disappointed if Mr. Jallow should accept this offer. But you never know
with people nowadays, and even before!
Cheers,
Lamin.
