Mr. Mrdgny,

I see that you and Amat Gaye have provided some answers to the question I
asked after reading the editorial.

Contrary to the view from some of the contributors, my attempt was not to
question the viability of the coalition effort, but to raise some of the
questions that they-coalition partners must be or perhaps are already
confronted with.

The fundamental questions that will eventually be dealt with by the
coalition should be -Who is going to lead the coalition? Is the leadership
going to come from the leadership of the political parties, or are they
going to look for leadership outside of their political parties?

My question is not to compare a potential coalition leader to Jammeh, but
who among them demonstrates electability, and will help build the democracy
that the coalition is advocating.

Obviously, there is also the unspoken truth of finding a leader that will
not betray the principles of the Alliance. This is nothing more than a trial
balloon in the search for the ideal coalition leaders.

Best Regards,

Ablie Njie-Lekbi

Atlanta
