Mr Ambassador,
If you had not already scampered to that Spanish website of yours created
out of Gambian taxpayer money for your masters propaganda efforts, I have a
simple question for you. I know you are a very "intellegent" man and you
don't "illusionise" on issues unlike your good friend Edi Simpson ...... OOPS
I mean Edi Sidibeh. With all the dreary and weedy stuff coming out of GRTS I
guess you guys wouldn't mind now trying comic strips to try to "illusionise"
more Gambians. You never know it might do the trick for your dwindling
support amongst the Gambian people. Edi Simpson...... I mean Sidibeh might be
a great candidate for the job; patriotic, very much like Jammeh in IQ,
irritatingly funny and a fruitcake sui generis. Until I joined this List,
never knew the Gambia had professional stand up comics. But one can be that
ignorant. Edi keep it coming. Keep "illusionising" us with your "intellegent"
stuff.
To more important stuff. My question is this: is the "art" that you are
forwarding to the List your own personal memoirs [if one can call it that] or
an official version of the Gambia gov't on the Casamance and Bissau imbroglio?
I'm sure you are well aware that informal as the forum might be in
outlook, it is monitored by those who share our concerns. Statements that
come from this gov't's agents online like you, informal they might be, on
important policy areas like the Casamance/Bissau issue is being closely
monitored by other concerned parties. I hope you know what you are doing. It
is one thing to spin for a monster like Jammeh but it is another thing to
stay responsible on any issue whose ramification transcends you, me, Jammeh,
the APRC, current quarrels and anything of political immediacy. This is about
the future of the Senegambian people. It requires above all honesty,
responsibility and patriotism.
Like my forerunners, Bamba Laye, Kabir and Comrade Jassey, I will be
joining them in perusing all that you said when you are done with your
"arts". I hope the issues they raised you will take time to answer sincerely.
I was particularly offended by your tacky attempts to smear Maitre Wade with
the you splashed on him any time the opportunity presented itself. Some of us
hold him very dear and he does represent a beacon of hope in a continent
which has little or nothing to be celebrating or worthy of celebrating after
we were supposedly free from the colonialists. I guess the new colonialists
are the likes of Jammeh and the intelligentsia which continues to abet with
such reactionary Fascist gov'ts. Africa scrambling for Africa as London based
paper once put it.
Till then keep spinning for the dictator.
Hamjatta Kanteh

PS: Mr Kabir Njie continue with good work. Your efforts in freeing the
country of the dictator shall not go in vain. Fascism must be uprooted and
not appeased. This should be the message to the dictator. Don't let anyone
frustrate your noble attempts to speak the truth. And in the name of
tolerance, we must not tolerate the intolerant. Perhaps Saul Khan will soon
come out of his hibernation and join the efforts. His caustic and savage wit
is dearly missed and some of his preposterous friends are cropping up again
after they were silenced.
