Ebrima,

I read Dr. Saine's book review which I also find very well written. Infact,
I sent it to my daughter at the NDI for her files. She will be moving into
the diplomatic field as staff of the State Department. We are all excited
about it, naturally.

On Saul Gomez, he worked at the OAU Addis HQ for several years. The last
time we met at Abidjan Airport, he was moving to the OAU offices of the UN
in New York. I presume, he is still there. Saul is not only a political
scientist/diplomat but was one of the best Gambian football players of his
day.

On the American elections: Habib, I know you have already voted by absentee
ballot. To the rest of the Gambian-Americans, I hope you will all go to the
polls today to vote for a new President, some members of Congress and local
school boards etc.

Sidi Sanneh
