Sheikh Tejan,

Please deliver this sincere condolences to the family of Imam Ablie Jobe for
me, and I will also call them inshallah.
He was the designated dad to my mother when she married my dad and went to
georgetown as a bride at age 16. At the time, Mam Ablie was working for Cable
and Wireless. We used to play at his compound as kids and he was considered as
a real father by my late mom.
He is a Hafiz, meaning he has memorized the Qur'an and is a true Islamic
scholar.
I saw him last in 1997 at the dedication of the new airport and fought the
crowd to get to him. He had lost his eyesight, but he held my two hands and
started talking about my parents when I told him who I was.
May Allah subhannahu wata'al grant him a peaceful and spacious resting place
and raise him among the most faithful in Janatutul Firdaus.
My sincere condolences to the Jobe family.

Jabou Joh
