Hello Irene,
Thank you very much for the good ideas you have forwarded to the
Gambia-L.
I agree with my brother (Badou Jobe) on his views about the
non-existence of
copy -right laws in the Gambia which definately,is a great loss to the
composer
and the arranger of the music. In the case of the piracy,it cannot be
stoped because
even countries with the copy-right laws cannot control it.
Anyway,i did not hear the latest arrangement of the "Gamoh Jigemarr" but
it has
ever been my favourite sound during the time of "Libidorr Band".So,i was
not
surprised by Katim`s appreciation of the "Gamoh Jigemarr".The music was
composed by Mam Tamsir Njie, arranged by your Alioune Diaw and
contributions
from Jamil Cham, your Elhadj Samb and other musicians.
I think, musicians in the Gambia needs more support and facilities,to get
more time
on their trainnings. As you know, the musical field is too wide "the more
you train,
the better you are.I am wishing all our musicians the best of luck,to
accomplish
the right treatment they need.
                                            Elhajj Mustapha Fye
                                            Ex-Proprietor of Libidorr
Band.
Private.
Kindly send my best regards to Badou.Tell him that,i still have my
dangerous
"Coup de force"in the game of draugh.I know,he will be frighten but tell
him
that i will be very lenient with him.
                                                    "Bawdor Fye"
PLS.don`t frighten Alhagi "Chuuneh Njie" on the CHESS.
