Sidi:

Thanks for the piece of information on Dr Solomon Gomez. I saw some of his
writings at the Centre, and was truly impressed. In actual fact, I was
wondering who he is. By the way, do send my congratulation to Fatuma, on her
new job with the US State Department. I thought she was already doing well
at NDI, but I don't blame her if she chooses to be a US diplomat. (laugh)

Abdoulaye Saine: Thanks for sending the address where one can purchase Dr
Omar Touray's book. By the way, I have now received the articles; I would be
writing privately.

Cherno Jallow: Great to hear from you, and I hope all is well with you. I am
assuming that it is Cherno Jallow, formerly of the Ministry of External
Affairs, and now working for the UN in East Timor.

Elhajj Mustapha Fye: My greetings to you and the family.

Yusupha Jow, OB Sillah: Tell me what is going on with the US elections, and
in particular, your (news) networks. I am sitting here enjoying veteran CBS
anchorman, Dan Rather, CNN's Bernard Shaw and others retracting their
earlier declarations of a George Bush victory.
