No Gambia-L manager is, or can be, bought, especially by those whose only
claim to fame (infamy) is the massacre of children.

This is precisely what I was talking about. Now, we are letting our
imaginations run wild and accusing list managers of being on Jammeh's
payroll. Unless someone has documented evidence of this, I think we need to
drop these ridiculous accusations. Let us think clearly and desist from
throwing baseless accusations whenever a common sense approach pertaining to
the list rules is adopted. I guess those who want ot see chaos on this list
are having a field day when they read all of this.
The list managers are just some of the list members who dedicate their
valuable time and energy to the upkeep of this forum so all of us can enjoy
it. Like any organization, there has to be guidelines to make sure that
people stay within certain parameters. Do we really have to have lessons in
the simple facts of right and wrong before people can see that we need to
have a set of guidelines and stick to them in order to have this forum
function in an orderly and respectable manner? Do we have to accuse people
who are trying to oversee the smooth operation of this forum of devious
motives each time someone who does not abide by the rules is de-listed?
This is the concentration on trivia that I was talking about, and it
certainly does seem to consume a lot of valuable time.
It is funny but just earlier this week, I was actually thinking about making
a suggestion to set aside a day in which we remember those ho founded this
forum, as well as those who volunteer to maintian for the enjoyment of all,
and just take a day each year to say thanks for a medium that has allowed us
ot be a community despite the distances that divide us. We Gambians tend to
be very unappreciative of the little things that others do to make a great
difference, and it is high time we try to change that.
List managers, we appreciate all you do. Now, let us move on to the
discussion of more substantial issues, and leave the fruitless negativity and
wild accusations. You see the effect that this regime is having on us? We are
now ready t oaccuse anyone at the drop of a hat. This sort of paranoia leads
to bad things people, so let us give ourselves a reality check quickly.
