Compatriots!

Although I thought I had a fair idea of ANC’s struggle against the apartheid regime of South Africa.

For the first time tonight I watched the movie mentioned above. My hope is many of you may have already watched it.

The lesson - if such a less informed people but also dispersed across uncompromising terrains can be organized by few brave and visionary leadership to claim their rights for a just nation - why not us?

(1) First they didn’t insist that White should go, go first before they can demand their rights. Instead they started right there and grow with

(2) Second they didn’t say this will take long - most of the founding pioneers are killed or dead before they are even accepted/recognized as legitimate body

(3) Third the enemy is a different animal, wealthier, more sophisticated but also earned the support of the rest of the free world at that time. Our enemy (Yahya and his clique) are ourselves and less supported or no support in the larger free world. He may be brutal but less sophisticated.

(4) Forth - resources from human capacities to logistic and terrain was much more difficult for any social engineering than anything of Gambia

(5) These people never hope some soldiers come and do the job for them or God will drop hell fire missiles on the Boas. The educated among them never kept quite and/or silently lead prayers.

(6) Etcetera …….here we’ve lot to learn to organize in a way that suits our circumstances than glowing about the possibility of another military coup or some Godly intervention as if Yahya do not share that same God or farmers has to take to the streets without educated leaders

I hope this is a lesson for many as is for me.

Burama
