I hope you had chance to listen to my conversation with Sam on range of issues concerning The Gambia. The main topic was about my assertions that Jawara was a dictator and his administration a dictatorship. Again I made my case with 10 points why Jawara fits the bill.

Certainly some may agree/disagree. That's ok! The issue is not re-litigating our past as it is a revisit to understand where we come from to get to where we are.

My ideas of the way forward did not attract much attention. I hope next if I am invited to the Radio there will be much time for that critical piece. The bottom-line is Yahya is bad but a creation of our past. This struggle can't/shouldn't be about Yahya (yes he's bad) but about what our nation is supposed to be - A Democratic Republic. Should we venture to understand what that is; am hopefully we will begin to see practical solution. Surely they we not be easy, they will take time and costly. The good news is we have more than enough resources to do it. We can/will make Yahya and/or any other person for that matter inconsequential except the totality of our people.

Lets temper our anger and frustration to Yahya down. Let not our love for Jawara/PPP cloud our judgment.
Let me join you in this new crusade - 'A Claim For A Democratic Republic of The Gambia', regardless who is in power and/or not. This is the only cause that unite us as a people of the nation. We will never agree on any one candidate and is not a requirement of democracy.

Finally I wrote a document years ago I called 'The Working paper'. Its still in draft because that's an argument am ready to take to any nation forum. In that document I spelt out how democracy can/should be institutionalize in The Gambia. Should you want to take a look simply drop me your email at [log in to unmask] You may also reach me at 810 844 6040 or Facebook, twitter or Skype. Whatever works for you. We're in it Togethers.

Hope you got something from the conversation and hope you having a good Memorial Day Holiday. Take care and be safe!
