Dehda Hydara may your soul rest in perfect peace!

Citing the previous attacks against independent
journalists, Ebrima Sillah's case, Yerro Jallow, the
shouting of Lawyer Ousman Sillah, the killing of Koro
Ceesay, the killing of students peacefully
demonstrators and many more to mention, therefore, one
would cast no doubt that the killing of Dehda Hydara
is carried out by State security agents known as the
"hit squad" ordered by the coward dictator President
Yahya Jammeh.

Hydara was a decent man who was always ready to speak
for the voiceless that made him a target. He criticized
the draconian new press law because it is a decree not
a law therefore unfit for our society and not only for
our society but for any democratic society that
believe in the rule of law and freedom of speech.

No doubt the brutal attack upon Hydara was made in
retaliation for his criticism against the so call
press law.

Gambians needs no lips service any more. Each time a
Gambian is murder, this shameless Government will come
up with the same slogan "we will investigate" and that
goes for ever.

Jammeh is responsible for fomenting a political
climate based on fear and intimidation but that is the
greatest mistake he is making. He will regret his
actions one day and all those who are hiding under the
name of Government for that matter.

A message to the Gambian Journalists, you are doing a
great job to the nation and GOD will reward you. Thank
You all.

Saihou
