"...Is removal of Jammeh is worth the
horrible consequences which would result from the violent alternative?"
Maybe not , yet I believe that 7 more years of violence characterised by
utter disregard for basic human rights, and poverty will definitely do a lot
more harm to the already emotionally and economically battered nation.
Countless valuable lives have been ended violently and families shattered
since the imposition of yaya's reign of terror. I wonder sometimes about the
negative impact that the exposure of our impressionable young generation to
a daily dose of Yaya's contempt and adulteration of our constitution and our
values (disrespect for elders, lack of refinement in utterance and
dishonesty) could have on the future of our country's leadership? Gambians
must find a way of making Yaya understand that in this day and age, his
sadistic tendencies and his misuse of power would no longer be tolerated.
