Well, for what it's worth, any agency tied to any government and involved in
the issue of immigration and assylum seeking, especially a European
government, or any western government( I am guessing here) and any agency charged
with this task would certainly be a government agency or a contractor acting for
them, can in-fact get this information gathered by either their own foreign
mission in The Gambia or they can get it from other governments such as the
U.S through the State Department's annual country reports that is compiled on
every country in the World.
There are a lot of scams these days set up by individuals who want to
exploit the fact that a lot of people from Africa and other so-called third World
countries are trying to get legal papers in Western countries. These scam
companies will gather information and use it to entice unsuspecting aliens with
promises of being able to get them legal papers etc. I have seen a green card
scam email being circulated lately and the only purpose these scam companies
have in mind is to get money out of people who think that these scam
companies are legitimate and can help them. Even some local government employees are
in on the scam to fleece illegal aliens these days. Here in Nashville, they
just arrested a bunch of State of Tennessee Department of Motor Vehicles
employees who had a scam charging illegal aliens up to $1,000 to issue them a
driver's license because to get one in this state, you have to show legal papers.
The fee to get a driver's license is about $16 here?
Be cautious about such enquiries because no organization that is working on
behalf of a legitimate government will look for this sort of information by
sending out random emails like this.

All:

See below an inquiry sent from a certain European country's fedearl agency
that deals with African asylum seekers. As you can clearly see the subject
and content of the inquiry, I wonder if there was going to be a worse time
to forward this here. Nonetheless, I figured somehow, responses to these
questions may be used to determine someone's future somewhere soon.

To cut this short, I seek honest and frank responses to these questions
from anyone who feels OK to do so. You may send your responses to me
directly, if you prefer, at any of the following email addresses:

Please bear with me while I remove any pertinent information that can link
any person directly or indirectly to this inquiry.

DOCUMENTATION CENTRE FOR ASYLUM AGENCIES

Dear Sir, Madam

Maybe you could help me with my query

**** is the documentation centre of the ***** agency that is responsible
for the processing of applications for asylum. As such ***** collects and
assimilates the information about the countries of origin of the asylum
seekers which is required by this agency.

I would like to ask whether you could inform me about these issues or
provide me the co-ordinates of any organisation who possibly could:

- Do people of Mandingo origin suffer from any form of discrimination or
persecution in The Gambia?

- to what extend people of Mandingo origin are associated with the Gambian
political opposition?

- Concerning the two above questions, what about high ranked military of
Mandingo origin in the Gambian army?

I would be very grateful if you could help me with my query. Your
information is most welcome on the address mentioned below.

Yours sincerely,
