Dear Rodine

Thank you very much for this reply. I would be grateful for contact details
(email?) of shops which sell regulators of the power you describe. I will
also look around here in the UK.

Hope I might meet you some time. My next visit to The Gambia is around mid
February 2004 - (unless we have a crisis with our library project at
Armitage SSS!)

All the best, Mike.

low.

> Hi Mike, I read yr letter and I think I can contribute. It seems u have
tried almost everything. The option for supplying UPS or INVERTER to each
PC should be dropped, because each UPS and INVERTER produces power (watts)
so this will add to the problem of overload. (You can consider getting
bigger ones and connect 3 to 6 PCs to one UPS or INVERTER). Try getting an
AUTOMATIC VOLTAGE REGULATOR (AVR) with an input voltage of 110volts to
240volts and an output voltage of 240volts. The wattage depends on how many
PCs u want working in the present condition. At least u will not have to
buy or change battries. They range from 200watts upwards. A 1000watts AVR
can operate 3 to 4 PCs depending on the wattage of both the computers and
the monitors. These AVRs are available here in The Gambia. If u want more
info, I can get u the contact details of some of the shops that sell them. I
think in this present condition, a few PCs should work. Regards,Rodine
