Ayant rejoint «The Independent» depuis 1999, Abdoulie Sey a rapidement gravi les échelons.

ABDOULIE JOHN

Translations, having provided please note that, some of the structures being used could differ in meaning depending on the context. Here the translation was based on simplistic terms instead of over emphasising any far fetche linguistic jargons. What matters is to know what our neighbours say and do about the current dark side of The Gambia's political life! Excuse me if there are any difficulties encountered when deciphering what was translated, one thing is certain and that is I do wish to complicate the message.Instead my wish is to share the french version with those who cannot read the language on line.

Thanks so much for your understanding.

See the translations here below....

One week after the assasination of Deyda Hydara,Co-proprietor of a daily paper " The Point",Abdoulie Sey the editor in chief of a bi-weekly paper "The Independent" turns over the table. Even whereas he refuses to comment, reliable sources are linking the reasons behind his departure to pressure coming from his family.

As a reminder, the idividual concerned was arrested last year thus incarcerated for three days. The "National Intelligence Agency" (Nia),an arm responsible of gathering Intelligence, did promise that he would live a life in hell as far as he is chose to continue writing, together with Alhaji Yorro Jallow, the " editorials within a steaming situation" (expression stems from diverse lexis and structures therefore brought to the nearest sense considering the present context).

Having been added to the list of the "The Independent" journalists from 1999,Abdoulie Sey rapidly rose through the echelons.WIth the founder of the journal,Baba Galleh Jallow (on voluntary exile?) currently based in the United States Of America both were able to maintain the existence of the journal with an outstanding performence, therefore making it one of the most popular papers in The Gambia. Following both arson attacks( criminal acts at the premises of the paper),this resignation may (as well favour the feelings of some).

End of Translations....

Essa Bokarr Sey.
