Kotu
The National Water and Electricity Company, NAWEC, informs the general
public that its G11 generator located at Kotu Power Station is down at the
moment. Nawec says that this is due to a sudden failure of one of its
electronic devices which is the cause of the load-shedding being experienced
in the Greater Banjul Area these days.
Nawec therefore assures its consumers that every effort is being made with
suppliers to have a replacement - component sent over as soon as possible.
In the meantime, Nawec sincerely apologises for any inconvenience caused and
relies once again on the general public for their usual co-operation and
understanding.
Gambia-l:
I wonder whose head should roll now given the continued power failures in
the country. Any more excuses or scapegoats? Afterall, "Dr." Jammeh is in
charge of NAWEC!
