Hi Mrs Jallow,

'As a people our lives as Africans are worthless to this group. Some of us can marry white people, come with them to Africa, baptize them and call them Muhammed or Aja Basse, yet in the eyes of the Western power brokers we remain nothing but primates at the very beginning of the evolutionary chain!! '

Do you not think that other people will start respecting us and treating us (not better) but as equals, when we
ourselves love and respect ourselves as a people. Leaders like Jammeh, and sadly, there happens to a be a lot of them in our continent do not do much good to the moral complaint (stance) of us being treated badly by mostly the western and Caucasian race. Most of these monsters have less "mental ability than the primates at the beginning of the revolutionary chain" if I could kindly borrow your own epithet. Am sure in no time or no where has primates turned so violently and murderously on their own defenceless young like what your husband's boss did with the help of his henchmen..

If he (your man) is so humble that he still rents a house for 150 Dalasis a month then where in god's name is he putting his ill gotten salary, tucking it away somewhere safe and warm perhaps, in case of the prophesied (or Jammeh's supernatural bees ) rainy day? This rainy day shall surely befall these "bladklats" and drenched like rain-soaked rabbits they shall be, sooner rather than later for if there is a dream that is ephemeral (in their case) and a nightmare for the Gambian people, then surely this is it.

Do not take this personally, (actually take it which way you like), but if you do not find it sickening to the pit of your stomach to be sleeping in the same bed with a man who serves under this Kanilai primate, then maybe something is wrong with you. No one decent serves under Jammeh, unless they are either demented like himself or are so self-centred, that morality and humility just does not exist in their consciences, after all there is still such a thing as conscientious objectivity.

This goes too for anyone else whose friends or family members serve under Jammeh. The Jaiteh guy cannot be a decent guy if it's his duty to guard (in other words put his life on the line for Jammeh)
Am sorry Mr Ceesay but this time I have to disagree with your source ( though as valuable and patriotic as he/she may be). I hold him/her in high regard for the mere selflessness and probable personal danger he puts to him/her and the his/her family under for all the invaluable info supplied daily on these scumbags. This Jaiteh guy just cannot be such a decent and clever guy as he is being portrayed here. I will not feel sorry for the single one of" them lot" ( as they say in Scouser land, Liverpool). Am sorry if i offend anyone. I will not wish death on them or celebrate if they are murdered, but anything else meted out on him and his likes is very deserved and long overdue for maybe it will be a wake-up call to them to help us get rid of this curse.

Please, people spare us the nonsense of describing these people as being kind, nice or clever if they work under this idiot. They are all the same people, they could hold doctorates, but they are still moral illiterates and believe me, that's far more worse than any lack of formal education.
Again I reiterate this, there is not a single decent person within the Jammeh government, whether it is your husband, or Jabou's sister's husbands, they are all dogs and on the day of reckoning they should be treated thus. I would like you to forward this very emotional outburst of mine to him, and would also be grateful if you could kindly extend me the invitation of giving his contact details you proposed to Jabou please, for perhaps he will tell Jammeh how one very frustrated and absolutely helpless young man feels about him and his band of thieves and murderous dogs.

Am sure most Western leaders treat us better than the treatment meted on us by our own kind.
This is no way an excuse for the way we as a people have been treated and marginalized since the beginning of time. You can convince me otherwise but I do not know a more selfish creed of people like our own. Examples are glaring us in the face across our continent and in the diaspora, one does not have to strain too hard to see it. If we stop the fratricide, then the world is ours for the taking, and nothing or no one can stand in our way.

Interracial marriages as you rightly suggested (though in a very wrong context) does not and will not better our situation as a people. Only our own acts will make this dream a reality. Do you not think that it's high time we stop complaining about us being treated badly by other people when we treat ourselves even much more appallingly.
An African American or a Black British for that matter is worth less than their/our white counterparts because they/we are even more evil to each other. How many Black people kill each other in USA, Britain or France everyday, compared to other races, most of the homicides are actually fratricides? Our wickedness to each other is beyond comprehension, sister.
I know I've said (rather written) this more than ten times already, but please just bear with me for the monotony, but if we show others that we love and respect and hold dear the lives and welfare of our brothers and sisters then maybe then they will start treating us with the overdue/over-deserved respect we constantly and rightly lament about.

I can only talk about the UK, for this is where I live. There is more hatred (and in most cases) sheer wickedness and animosity between different Black sub ethnic groupings than between Whites and Blacks. Anyone on the list who lives or had lived in Black Inner city areas of London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester and other major cities here will attest to this sad tragedy of of this very sad facet of our lives as a people. Blacks from Africa are hated and sometimes violently attacked by Blacks from other parts of the world. How many times have other Black people insulted Africans in my presence, ignorant that though am called Dave Manneh, Dave being Jewish but much thought of as an English name, and Manneh which can sound like Scottish, Manning, only for me to turn around and tell them (words which, though as emotionally charged as I am at this moment writing this letter and in the process the frustration of people's hypocrisy on this list and the wider Gambian community, I will
still not dare write)

Maybe you feel like an inferior to the caucasian race, but please speak for yourself, for am sure my humble self and hopefully many others on this list and across the world do not feel the faintest inferiority to them. on a plain and square playing field we can beat them any day, anytime, anywhere.

Good evening to you.

Manneh
