Folks,
I am glad to inform you that The National assemble yesterday passed a
bill entitled ; The Gambia Tourism Authority. This organization when
established will take over the role of the National Tourist Office and
will operate on commercial basis as a parastatal. The entire sector
welcomes the idea. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Hon.
Yankuba Touray for his dynamic leadership, committment and action
oriented approach he has shown since assuming the leadership of the
tourism sector together with his able permanent Secretary Mr Bai Ousman
Secka. The hotel classification bill will soon reach the house for
approval. I will keep you posted.
Chi Jamma,
Bro. Sheikh Tejan Nyang
