Sulayman, thanks for your comments. I raised the same question on the
Gambianews forum. However, a brother (I forgot who) reminded me of the
different circumstances that each of us live under. Some of us may be
comfortable revealing our names, but there are others who have their
reasons for assuming a pseudo identity. I would prefer for all to reveal
their ID, but I grew to understand and accept the various reasons why
others may not be comfortable to do so. I agree that it is very
frustrating to converse with open space (if we can call it that), but if
we had the means to ID every author I'm afraid we might also loose on a
lot of brilliant ideas. Such is the nature of cyber space, it provides
equal opportunity for all to be heard at the stroke of a key and it also
provides some immunity to the concerned. Therefore, I would not call it
hypocrisy, but a nuisance that we should learn to tolerate in our journey
through space. I don't like it one bit, but like everything in life, you
adapt to the twists and turns. You are not alone and I hope this helps to
     ease your frustration.

I know you already apologized for your use of unpleasant language at Ebou
Colley, but I want to take this opportunity to also remind other
contributors that you have intelligent folks on this forum. Therefore, you
do not have to reflect your emotional state in your writings and the use of
foul language only tells your readers that you ran out of options and have
nothing constructive to offer. The overwhelming majority of the list
members are considerate and respectful to their readers so let's keep it at
     that level.

Hi Everyone:
I am profoundly sorry to every list member for my
choice of words in my earlier posting. I was really
hurt and angry. It is not my style to use such words,
but not if I am really offended. I am not in support
and will never be in support of any one who commits
atrocities against innocent persons. Ebou was out of
line too, and did offend me. He has many lapses in his
story, did anyone try the numbers? Why do list
managers allow anyone to contribute to the Bantaba if
the person is reluctant to reveal his/her identity? We
are all Gambians working towards a better Gambia. So
why do we have to hide from one another. This is our
my main problem-hypocrisy. We have to eradicate it or
we will never achieve our goals. Once again my apology
to all those offended.

Your Home Boy,
Sulayman
