Mrs. Saho, you should NEVER feel that you are boring people by highlighting
the plight of your husband. People have to be constantly reminded about the
lawlessness in the country and how innocent and defenseless citizens are
victimized on a daily basis. If I had my way, I will send a posting every
day to remind people about Dumo et al, our children that were slaughtered in
broad daylight on the orders of Yaya, the torture and brutal murder of
Ebrima Barry etc.

This should never be boring to decent Gambians. What happened to your
husband is very wrong. The man selflessly went back home from political
exile during the former regime in order to help children (the most
vulnerable in our society). Unlike the vermin that stole money from our
people and are driving 'fancy cars' and vacationing in America, Dumo went
back to GIVE BACK to the people.

What did he get in return from the vermin that are STEALING FROM our people?
They cooked up bogus charges against him, lied about him behind his back,
stabbed him in the back, abducted him in broad daylight, incarcerated him
(and lied about it), kept him from talking to his family and friends for
months, and they continue to keep him illegally without trial. I am telling
you, this is even hard for me to believe and I was born and grew up in
Africa. This magnitude of lawlessness is just mind-boggling. To top it off,
Gambians are not outraged enough if you ask me. This is the hard part for me
to believe. I am not really surprised by the APRC lawlessness.

If a philanthropist as good as Dumo can be treated this way by Yaya and the
Gambian people he (Dumo) was trying to help, then I pity all of us. Mind
you, this man is being kept in jail mainly on the word of a pathological
liar like Foday Barry. I do not know your husband well but every day my
respect for him grows. To endure back-stabbing from comrades like Pap
Cheyassin Secka and Sarjo Jallow must be devastating to anyone. Yet you do
not hear the brother whining about it. He is a strong man. He must never
give up. He is and has been doing the right thing. One day when it is all
said and done, he will be released and his name cleared off these vindictive
and false accusations.

Saiks, like Saul said, rest assured that Joseph Joof will have some
explaining to do. He did not even need a letter from Mrs. Saho to do what is
right. He ought to be ashamed to call himself a lawyer. Who would have
thought in this day and age that Gambia will have political prisoners that
are denied the basic right to a court trial? No judge wants to touch the
case. And there cannot be a case easier than this one.

Saiks what we have are two court rulings. One from a lowly magistrate (Haddy
Roche) that was achieved after Pap Cheyassin Secka and his dumb prosecutors
ran behind people's back to get the equally dumb magistrate to justify
incarcerating (incommunicado) Dumo et al. On the other hand, we have a High
Court Judge that ruled a long time ago (right before Roche's ruling) that it
is illegal and unconstitutional to hold people in jail for more than 72
hours without charging them with an offense. They should have freed Dumo et
al right there. But instead, they defied the High Court ruling and charged
Dumo et al with some bogus 'conspiracy' and 'attempt' charges. This was at a
time when the government was standing in court and saying that they are
still 'investigating' and do NOT even have enough evidence to bring
'charges' against Dumo et al. So, it is OK to incarcerate innocent citizens
incommunicado while thugs like Foday Barry and Modu Pika dig to manufacture
evidence. See the lawlessness and victimization? They admit that they do not
have evidence, but they will still go ahead and jail people.

Dumo et al CANNOT even appeal Roche's clearly erroneous ruling justifying
their continued incarceration (incommunicado) even though Roche was told by
the prosecutor that the government does NOT have enough evidence. Dumo et
al. CANNOT apply for bail while the NIA thugs 'investigate'. In short, Dumo
et al will just languish in jail while our courts REFUSE to hear the case.
Judges keep passing the buck to each other. All they are doing is buying
time. They want ORDERS from Yaya through Joseph Joof. That's all. The vermin
will not give the orders unless he is pressured. That is where ordinary
Gambians come in. Remember that this fight has little to do with Dumo et al.
This fight is about all of us. We are reducing the threshold for the
government to pick up anyone they dislike and leave you in jail to rot. We
have to say enough is enough. This is very wrong; especially when done to a
selfless gentleman like Dumo.

We wish him all the best. I hope he is released soon to go back to his job
of GIVING BACK TO the Gambian poor. Please Mrs. Saho, never hesitate to
showcase the brutality of the regime we have back home. They should be the
ones that should be ashamed to come to people. You have every right to say
what you are saying. They are the ones holding your husband illegally. You
and others are not asking for much. All we want is for Dumo et al to have
their day in court. Simple as that.
