Sister Ndey,
My sincere condolences to you and all friends and family members of Sister
Satang Jobarteh. I did not have access to the Internet the past weeks. I heard
about Sister Satang's admission in hospital when I was attempting to make an
appointment to meet her with regards to GESO. Her sister Mammy gave me a phone
number to call as soon as I return from the the provinces in order to meet with
her. Sadly it was later the same day that Satang passed away and I did not know
about it until almost a week later because I was not listening to the radio and
had no access to any media. It was a shock!

Although I have never met her in person but I have spoken to her several times.
Last year she even sent me two copies of her book "Socio - Political Strides of
Gambian Women".

She is gone physically but her spirit will always remain with us. May Allah SWT
grant her Jannah (Ameen).

Yesterday on the plane back from the Gambia, I heard that Musukebba Drammeh had
also passed away and she was going to be laid to rest at 3 pm. My sincere
condolonces to Bass and the rest of the Family of Musukebba Drammeh. To Allah
we belong and to Him is our return. May Allah have mercey on her and grant her
Jannah.
