Hi Basil,

News has reached me that George Sarr has made a
terrible accusation against me. I am not on Gambia-L
and I read it on the Web. Can you please post this
message on my behalf. I don't know what is becoming
of Gambia-L but I am disturbed and I hate that my good
name is being tarnished in this fashion.

Tom

Mr Sarre,

It has come to my knowledge that you have made an
accusation against me that is VERY VERY SERIOUS and I
would like you to go on the public forum and Make an
apology. I was on Gambia-L until a few weeks ago when
I unsubscribed. I have worked as a cellular engineer
for GAmtel and then moved onto the TV. I started work
in cellular in 1992 when it was introduced and
continued working for cellular on my return from
studies. I have since 1997 been in New Zealand where
I have been studying towards a PhD here. I am not
being sponsored by anybody in Gambia and really cannot
comprehend how you can put two and two together and
make four. You are way off the mark. I am really
dissappointed that you didn't even take time to find
out what is happening to make your enquiries before
leaping on the bandwagon with your accusations. When
will people like you stop tarnishing the names of
innocent people? I am indeed disappointed at your
behaviour and I believe a public apology is warranted.

You can contact anybody on the list who knows me quite
well to know my whereabouts. You have got that
information that you posted on a web page and I
believe that as a responsible person you must at least
do some research before making accusations. I am not
at all impressed. I am not in the Gambia and don't
really know what is happening with regard to GSM.
Secondly I didn't finish school in 1978, people who
make accusations must substantiate their accusations.

Since I am not on the list, I will send this message
to Katim to forward to the list on my behalf as I know
that someone like you would not have the decency to
apologise publicly. There are many people on the list
who know me and who would vouch that I have no need to
resort to the use of pseudonyms to put my point
across. You are out to tarnish my image and I am hurt
and angry.

I look forward to your apology.

Tom Forster
