Gassama, to simple minds like yours and Malick Kah’s Darboe’s utterances
about Sedat Jobe might sound ‘hypocritical’. But to the politically astute,
what Darboe did helped shatter a vicious LIE morons like you have been
peddling all these years about Darboe and the UDP. That LIE is that Darboe
is an angry and vindictive man and UDP is an angry and vindictive Party.
Darboe showed you people that he is NOT a man of hate. Sedat Jobe might be a
vermin to some of us that support Darboe, but that will NOT prevent Darboe
from being Darboe; a FIRM gentleman. By those simple words about Sedat Jobe,
Darboe opened his hands to every Gambian and ask their support to eradicate
tyranny in our society. Although I personally will NEVER commend Sedat Jobe,
I can live with Darboe’s views about the man. After all, Sedat Jobe might be
a moron (for sending that ridiculous letter to the UN cuddling Baabaa Jobe),
BUT he did not order the massacre of our children or loot government coffers
to open Swiss Bank Accounts (to my knowledge).

Darboe does NOT hate misguided elements that went to join the AFPRC/APRC
because of intimidation or inducement. We want those Gambians to understand
that it is NOT late to turn their lives around and leave the diabolical
regime and come and join the Alliance. As far as I am concerned, I will only
rule out people with blood in their hands. Any involvement whatsoever with
the massacre of our children, is unforgivable. But for lesser crimes, if the
culprits accept their mistakes, repent and ask for forgiveness, the
Opposition should NOT be judgmental and shut them out simply because at one
point in their lives they supported the APRC. Let us welcome them to the
Alliance and away from APRC.

Not too long ago Waa Juwara was standing on the same platform with ex-July
22 Members (AFPRC/APRC thugs) that brutalized him. This is the spirit of the
Alliance. Firm, but gentle. We are NOT a bunch of hateful thugs like the
AFPRC/APRC going around slaughtering children and abducting perceived
enemies. The Alliance evaluates the crimes of former enemies and exercises
magnanimity towards people that wronged them. It is human to err. It is
humane to forgive people that genuinely repent for their errors.

The only losers here are the APRC. Their house is in disarray. Even vermin
like Sedat Jobe do NOT want any part of the APRC insanity anymore. Sedat
Jobe is no longer clinging to an APRC job. Whether he resigned or was
sacked, is another matter. I hope he and all the misguided APRC supporters
see sense and vote for Darboe come October 18, 2001. We have an inclusive
Alliance that welcomes everybody safe murderers and other vicious criminals
(if you ask me). I hope the leaders on the ground convey this message to the
few Gambians that still support Yaya. We want to rout the vermin in the
polls come October 18.

Darboe’s actions show that he is a kind man. Firm, but gentle. The same week
the man showed his gentle side with Sedat Jobe, he was also on record
fighting hard for the Gambian people against the shenanigans of APRC cronies
like Yankuba Touray and Joseph Joof. I see no hypocrisy whatsoever in what
Darboe said. He clearly showed that he is more humane than people like me. I
will endeavor to be like Darboe when I grow up. He clearly showed that
contrary to APRC LIES, he is NOT a vindictive man and his Party is NOT a
hateful and vindictive Party. APRC supporters that did NOTHING against the
law, have NOTHING to fear from Darboe and the Alliance. When the Alliance
wins on October 18, 2001, EVERY Gambian will be given EQUAL treatment before
the law. There will be no law for government supporters and another for
Opposition supporters. The current system of lawlessness whereby Yaya and
his cohorts are above the law, will no longer be the order of the day.
Darboe is a FAIR man that will NOT victimize people simply because they did
NOT support him. He will be the president of the whole country. One time
support for AFPRC/APRC will NOT be held against anyone that realizes
his/her, repent and join the Opposition. However, Baabaa Jobe is NOT
welcomed.
