PANORAMA with 'Bulfaaleh' President and NAWEC Isn't he selfish on the Pre-paid meter project?
  NAWEC has been a gold mine for Jammeh-Why? 
  There are experts who believe that President Jammeh from 1994 to now has been particularly interested in NAWEC.He has not been hiding his interest towards specific places within his government especially these;GAMTEL,Dept of State Finance-Central Bank, Customs and other income generating depts like GPTC-Gambia Public Transport Cooperation, Cooperative Union,Dept of Natural Resources(which he established),the Dept of Petroleum(which is still only a wild dream) and then Gambia International Airline (GIA.) When one looks back and then studies President Jammeh's path it is not difficult to see his foot prints in the coffers of these very institutions. 
  
  JAMMEH IS A FAILED LEADER!!!
  President Jammeh why refer to pre-paid meters when he is not an expert? 
  President Jammeh's problem is really serious. He wants to be an expert in everything with limited or no knowledge at all. With his limited knowledge he connives with project analysts to make more money where some of them are urging the executive to take decisions speedily. Usually such projects of this nature should pass through bidding. 
  This bidding can either be done nationally or Internationally.NAWEC'S problem is nothing less than interference coming from the office of the President himself. NAWEC has been the weeping lamb under Jammeh for two reasons. It has been identified as a place where him Jammeh makes money for both personal and political reasons. It has also been reserved as a propaganda machine. When ever the electricity supply faulters President Jammeh attacks NAWEC workers even whereas he took over the department as its direct manager! Camon President Jammeh...you are the manager and then not blaming yourself for the failure of the place you are managing? 
  NAWEC staff are the experts. They should have met the EU officials where the president is not, tell them everything and then prepare a report for him and his cabinet to discuss. Why did President Jammeh televise or expose this meeting to the public and then use blames? Can these EU experts(or whatever they are) know or love The Gambia more than the Gambians working at NAWEC? President Jammeh should avoid using the 'blame game' when he is cornered. This is why many brains are running away from his hiring and firing danger zone. 
  Why choose the pre-paid meters...this confirms a rumour we ignored in the past! 
  The worst nightmare for any Gambian technocrat today is to take a job from President Jammeh. These technocrats are between lions and wolves. They are not left alone to perform and then being blamed by a powerful propaganda machine under a ruthless ruler. This is too bad! In the past there are Gambians who had access to information about what transpires in NAWEC while President Jammeh is meddling with this place. Some people went to the extent of saying that him Jammeh has a direct hand in receiving whats being paid by consumers because he feels that the generators are partially owned by him? Some said Jammeh was working on a project about meters where he expects a kick back? 
  President Jammeh likes staging fashion shows in his office when in actual fact he is expected to treat important national issues. During that meeting with the EU delegates the president was quick in sending a message in favour of someone in that group. My source said he did it for a purpose. 
  It appears as if the EU will be spending the money today-today. Not so. The EU has guide lines they must respect. One of the criterias preceding any investment is good governance. This is what always reassures investors if there certainty and stability. These are long term projects expecting vast returns in the long run. 
  President Jammeh participated and still participating towards creating division at the GIA. 
  The president will never leave any GIA manager execute his or her duties in an indepent manner. This is of course what should be. If people are trained to their jobs why not allow them fail or succeed before blaming them? 
  Why would the president favour someone called Paul Bass over others? Why would the president talk about monies from the GIA to political issues? What was he told by those he has chosen to talk to from the Control tower? Was the president informed with accurate information? He is receiving more false information from NAWEC and the GIA than accurate pieces. 
  President Jammeh's perception about certain directors or managers is more personal than national. 
  If he is saying something about sponsoring politics and he was accused of doing the same thing in the past then this means he did it! He is scared about the recent events. He scared about the revelations coming from this very paper. That is why he is quickly exonerating himself again. President Jammeh according to my source is businessman using state coffers and power to make profits or compensate losses. 
  He knows what is being said on that one. 
  The New Millennium and YDE helped wreck both GPA and the GIA. 
  President Jammeh is good at matching his darling projects to successful parastatals r government departments that are generating income. He does this on purpose, according to my source from the Central bank. 
  Here are examples from my source. This man has direct access to the files at state house so he will make the freedom news paper more enemies from Jammeh's supporters. They have to be ready for a rude shock. There are so many things to be released. How about that one? 
  -GAMTEL is the easy target. President Jammeh himself has been deeping his wanty hands into this institution’s coffers for the past 12 years. GAMTEL is his Taiwan within Gambia. 
  -The Jammeh foundation was matched with Taiwan and other donors where the president could make money under the pretext of helping students and the poor. 
  -The GIA was matched with the New Millennium as its hidden competetor.All Hajj packages were hijacked by one man called Kooroo Konjira and former majority leader Baba Jobe. 
  -The GPA/Customs were matched with the YDE.YDE ordered rice and other food items, it never paid tax, it never succeeded in helping the Gambians either. Yet President Jammeh said he started it and he owned it. The GPA and Customs recorded great losses until recently. Contrary to what President Jammeh's men and women are saying on line we believe that Customs did not make anything! Why? Let us take what the customs made recently then compare this figure to what obtained during the past 11 years. This answer can then be divided by 11x 12 months. This will give a basic answer where we can see how much was recorded every month. Too bad! Jammeh started failing in 1994. 
  Let us also remember when The Gambia has was losing so much because of YDE. This will obviously give us an appalling answer. 
  -The Forex department was matched to the local money markets in the streets. These are black marketers who had direct links to Jammeh and former Forex man Lang Conteh. Lang Conteh also was sacrificed. 
  My source had to stop there because he heard foot steps coming towards his office while we were on the phone. More revelations are on the way. The problem is not Gambians, the problem is president Jammeh himself. He cannot run the country, he does not know how to do so.
