Beran,
There is nothing wrong in the Government posting
military and intelligence officers at the embassies.
However, aggrieved citizens have every right to hound
those officers when they have, and continue to inflict
such gross abuses on them. Though Jammeh may have won
100% of the popular vote, and gained the ill advised
congratulations of Ousainou Darbo, these crimes will
always remain what they are.
Please refer to the house of lords decision in the
case of the Chilean dictator, Agusto Pinoche. Murder,
torture, and disappearances, are not what heads of
states are elected for, and cannot therefore claim
immunity for such crimes;which would be illegal under
their own laws. Also take note of the case of the case
of the official Mauretanean torturers arrested in
France. Jammeh winning the election does not diminish
the gravity of his crimes or those of his agents.
