Dear Kejau,

Nice to know that you are doing great. Your surname is TOURAY if I am right. My mother's is also Touray so you are my Uncle just like my other Uncle Sountou Touray.

In our Sarahulleh tradition we do crack jokes with our uncles. We make fun of them just like over our grandfathers and grandmothers.

Just over the weekend I was pushing and pulling with one of my immediate uncles, another TOURAY, in Angola who was pressuring me to get married because death can come anytime.

In the evening while discussing with my other younger immediate uncle in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, I told him my that uncle in Angola is a pessimist and a GANINKE (Sere-Hulle) or NUNGTO MO (Mandinka). In English it can mean a man of gone or yesteryears. We laughed!

My Uncle Kejau, I can see that you are a strict NUNGTO MO/GANINKE (Man of yesteryears) despite living in generation iphone & co.

You will agree with me that LANGUAGES ARE DYNAMIC and THEY KEEP EVOLVING.

The slangs "LOL" and "OMG" (laugh out loud, Oh My God/Oh My Gosh) that you and I use so often nowadays have just been added to one of the formal Oxford English Dictionary.

Since you are strict on the usage of languages I hope you will petition the Editors of the Oxford English Dictionary that "LOL" and "OMG" are not English and cannot be English without correction from you. LOL!

Anyway, I recommend you for the membership, if not the chairmanship, of the "PLAIN MANDINKA USAGE AND PRESERVATION COMMISSION OF THE GAMBIA (PMUPCG)."

Oh Jabiyong Ndey Tapha is your sister? Where were you when "your sister" was being "brutally" bitten by the sharks of nasty union politics?

I invite you to our picnic on the banks of the River Rhine. I do not belong to the working class so I can use my time as a member of the Thinking and Creative Classes as I wish. We are currently philosophizing, chilling out and doing what Bad Boys like doing when they are away from the control of strict uncles - flirting, provoking and making fun of the figures of the ladies.

Also getting inspirations for the next creative ideas from the happenings around me now.

Oh Mawdo Demba thank for the insights.

Mbakokooo. The Serehulles and Fulas are now teaching some Mandinkas their own language. Hey my cousin Mandinka liberal elites what are you doing? Enough of the Allako, Mansako sewuruba. Rediscover your language and culture. You are snoring while your religious elites are doing what Cherno Fankung's Babili Mansa wants them to you and some of your traditional elites want to crown him chief.

Do we need S.O.S. MANDINKA Language and Culture emergency?

LOL

Enjoy your day like the way I am enjoying mine.

Warmest regards from your stubborn nephew,

Prince Bubacarr Sankanu
