Comrade Mrdgny:

You know when names are said, one needs to revisit them. By
calling me "Jack" is a testament that you knew at Saint Aug., or
in Brikama. I am here not to win friends, but debate with Gambians
in a more mature and professional way. I am not interested
in polarization.

Our engagement can only solidify if we bring substance to the table.
By taking a risky road of compromising with the APRC for the
interest of The Gambia, is a value system I treasure well. One
must realize that conditions must be set for a viable and
democratic Gambia. Confrontational politics will take us no where.

I believe that the following issues should be discussed with the
APRC:

1. Term limit for the presidency
2. The gradual dissolution of NIA, and its integration
in the Gambian National Army and the Police Force
3. Election of local seyfos
4. The independence of the judiciary and the legislature
5. Acceptance of multi-party system in the Gambia and a directive
    against political harassment and intimidation
6. Independence of the civil service function, where dismissals
are to go through grievance procedures
7. Understanding that the opposition has a vital role in national
    development
8. Countless issues that are to be highligted by willing Gambians.

Our engagement must be based on truth and respect of political
differences. Confrontational politics and lack of respect should
be regarded as dead issues in engaging for national development.
We must realize that our engagement is voluntary in nature, and as
such, we have a responsibility to engage ethically and professionally.

Naphiyo,

Comrade ML Jassey-Conteh
Greensboro, NC/Kombo East Constituency

You're a slave to Jammeh's soap opera being perpetrated on the sleepwalking
and undeserving Dibba, your mentor and demigod. One cannot comprehend the 360
degree ambush in the night you are trying to regurgitate or forced on us
without question. What kind of opium got into your brain cells to change your
rationale into an opportunistic vendetta upon your ex-comrades. COMRADE, MY
FOOT! Jack, you've been diagnose with the Gambian syndrome of "FU TOY, MU
TAK"
Sam
