Dear readers:

The unedited e-mail below came from a source at State House.

Hello Coach:

For your information, all those expecting to perform this year's Hajj to
Mecca were gathered at the McCarthy Square so as to collect two pieces of
luggage - included in the air fares, according to the Hajj's organisers
(namely Baaba Jobe, Yahya Jammeh, Amadou Samba, Tarik Musa, Jaliba Yankuba
Touray and Lang Conteh). Nowadays, these men are referred to as the "Gang of
Six".

Now can you imagine our parents being asked to stand in line in the blazing
sun and dusty environment around the McCarthy square in order to collect
their luggage? I have vowed never to send my parents on the Hajj flights
organised by these six gangsters. These six men are simply gangsters preying
on the innocent.

What these criminals fail to tell the public is that they ordered three
containers full of cheap suit-cases, slap a huge mark up on each and shove
them down the throats of the unsuspecting public, most of whom are poor
people. The 43,000 dalasis air fares include the cost plus huge profit
margin for those suite cases they forced onto innocent intended pilgrims.

It is not only criminal to make money off the backs of an already suffering
populace, but dehumanizing to ask old men and women to line up for hours to
pick up a cheap piece of luggage. I will not subject my dog, much less my
parents, to this charade. People who are sending their parents through this
corrupt outfit should protest.

My advice is this: next time send your loved ones through Senegal or through
other international routes as many have done this year.

NOTE: every single intended pilgrim has been given the same departure date -
that is this Friday. Now, how can that be possible? Anyway, time will tell!
