It would appear that the Ran Hotel in Bouake where the Gambian National team
and the national teams of other nations were staying have been vacated. The
telephone switch board remains unanswered since this morning suggesting that
the Hotel has been vacated. Since both French and American troops are in the
vicinity, according to reports, the possibility exists that the teams have
been moved from the Hotel to a safe area prior to evacuation. The situation
will continue to be monitored. Thanks to all those who called team members
yesterday particulaly Ndey Jobarteh of Accra, Ghana who spoke to at least
one of them.

Sidi Sanneh
