As the Leon H Sullivan Summit sets to take place at the Nigerna Capital Abuja this July, we need to examine our links with the African-American nation of the United Siates of America.


W need to be realistic about the AFRICAN-AMERICANS and not just ask them to stark competiting the Chinese in the "New Scramble of Africa". The fact that they are "Blacks" does not automtically make them "Patrotic" or "Nostalgic Africans!" 


Before crying for the Afro-Americans, we should look at history: Liberia's problem is based on the fact that the repatriated African-Americans literarily "REFUSED TO INTEGRATE" and ended up "SEGREGATING or COLONISING" THE NATIVES of Liberia. These paved the way for Samuel Doe's bloody coup, Charles Taylors rebellion and finally, the return of the Afro-American descedant Madame Ellen Jonshon Sirleaf to the Executive Mansion (Seat of Liberian authority). Let us see if they (Afro-Americans) have learned their lessons.


Have the Gambian "Akus" been well-integrated or are they still living in closed-societies of mainly Christian clubs along the Atlantic Coastline?


By the way, Ghana has welcomed quite a number of African Amercians. We need look at how they are integrating into the African setting.


Once more, the traumatic experience of the natives of Liberia in the hands of repatriated Afro-American, is one of the reasons why the Eyadema Clan in Togo has resisted the influence of the repatriated Olympio family.


I do not support the Asians or the Lebaneses "business people" as they owe no allegeance to Africa but to their profits and shareholders "back home". 

We Africans should also resist "replacing the DEVIL with SATAN", be it American or Asian. The indegenous African are the loosers and the victims!
