1. The Association of Small Scale Enterprises in Tourism (ASSET )
Launches Mango news.

ASSET launched its monthly newsletter Mango news  last month and the
second edition is expected by mid April. Look out for full details of
the newsletter hopefully on our web side soon.

2. ROOTS FESTIVAL LAUNCHED.

The kick off for the launching of the above mentioned festival took
place at the Kairaba Beach Hotel on 30th March ,2002. The event was for
the launching of the upcoming festival slated for June. Look out for
more details on the Roots web side.

3.FAIR TRADE IN TOURISM CONFERENCE 24- 27th MAy 2002, THE GAMBIA.

A conference on Fair Trade in Tourism will be held in The Gambia under
the auspices of  (ASSET )  and Tourism Concern U.K. The conference will
be attended by representatives from a number of tourist organizations
world wide.
