yes it was an honorary degree from gambia University in cordination with St mary's college
 
the Nieriko from north and kuluntu(gray river  still empty thier waters at the mouth of the River gambia so they can qualify as tributaries the number of docks/wharfs are nine and can name them too- soffi walterr, maurel fress, maurel prom , UAC, companie cfao, bartess, marine , waffi njaggo  government customs waff-- your question did not specify time period so I am right on the dot  maybe now i do not know -this were pre independence time
