Sister Jabou and Mr. Fye:

Character is very important in defining a person. Truth
will always prevail. It is damaging to lie just to make
frieinds.

I just must remember the late Hon. Kebba Nyama Leigh, who despite
his support for the PPP would always engage the opposition
in a friendly conversation. On one instance before I came
to the US, I stopped by his office to bid him fairwel. His
response was: "Conteh I am happy that you are going to the
US. I am happy that you will no longer give us trouble. I wish you well in your studies." I was always appreciative
to this dear late politician. I loved his proverbs and
he was never afraid to speak the truth.

This was the Gambia I left. This is the Gambia we are
trying to restore. Equity, fair-dealing and truth should
be our guiding principle in our search for democracy.

Naphiyo,

Comrade ML Jassey-Conteh
Greensboro, NC/Kombo East Constituency

Jassey-Conteh & Sister Jabou,
My vote of confidence is for both of you. Keep saying the truth and get enemies, rather than lies to make
friends.God will be on your side! It is very amazing, that some brilliant people in our camp are seeing the
sun in a broad daylight, and still call it the moon. I hope they will understand our positions ( the truth ),
and not to see us as people against the coalition. We will NEVER support the AFPRC, but will always stick to
the truth.
Elhajj.
