THE TRIBE OF DJEMBE in conjunction with an ARTIST COLLECTIVE is holding
a Concert in Central Park Saturday July 14, 2001, to bring attention to
the Devastating Toll and Effects of Crises, War, Conflict and HIV/Aids
in Africa, and in particular its long term effect on the Children of
Africa.

As Africans of the Diaspora and Humanitarians dedicated to bringing
people and cultures together, The African Peace and Unity Concert will
be a wonderful gathering of Artists committed to utilizing their craft
to educate and promote The Need For Peace and Unity In Africa and The
World!  The venue will include a range of music including Djembe &
Conga Drumming, Afro-Pop, Dance, Soca, Reggae, R&B, Samba, African-Hip
Hop and Conscious Vibrations.  Special messages to be presented by
representatives working directly with African Countries affected by
war, conflict and the HIV/Aids pandemic.
