Subhanallah, that is all I can think to say at this point. I mean, I
can't even put into words how disgusted I am at this point. Is all of
this name-calling, etc., necessary? Do we really want a united
opposition or not? Because judging by Muhammed's writing, many must
not, or at least, they think some of the opposition leaders not worth
their time to engage. Are Muhammed's sentiments the majority? If not,
what can be done to keep people like him from derailing the whole
process? I've actually tempered my public statements principly because
I was told outright that what I was saying was directly hurting the
opposition's chances of uniting. I don't know, and part of me does not
think, that this is the case, but on the off chance that it is, I've
chosen to step away from and not comment on the situation in The
Gambia. And I wasn't insulting anyone, calling any names, using
vulgarities, etc. But I don't see how Muhammed's rantings could *not*
cause problems, but maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm putting too much stock
in what goes on online. Or just maybe telling me that my words were
directly responsible for the opposition's disunity was a way of
silencing me, which, as I've said before, worked. Because goodness
knows, the last thing I want is to say something that could cause hurt
to anyone.

I guess Muhammed has the freedom to insult people, call people names,
etc., but perhaps he sould be moderated or soemthing, until such time
as he learns to temper his language a bit.

As far as the opposition goes, *all* of the opposition could use some
new and fresh leadership from time to time,a nd that includes *all* of
the opposition parties, so if Darboe should step down and hand over the
reins of the party to someone else, what about the other opposition
politicians? And even if you don't like Darboe, just by him speaking
out and attempting to hold rallies, he could be very well putting his
life on the line to do that, what has many of us ever done, except sit
behind our keyboards and insulting people's parents?

So sad that Muhammed is doing such a horrible job of living up to his namesake.

Ginny
