  Brother Omar,

I received a link to this song from Sister Ndey Jobarteh a few days
earlier.
I have never heard, seen or felt a more powerful indictment of the Wade
regime in Senegal. I could not help but draw parallels with the slave ships
of centuries past, on the one hand, and the monumental failure of the SOPI
coalition to deliver. After decades in opposition, Maitre Wade turns out to
be more despotic than anyone could have imagined. That indeed is a status he
shares with many other African leaders.
