Gambia-l, can anyone help clarify to me what the majority leader, Baba
Jobe's status is viz a viz the travel ban that was imposed against him. Is
it the case that his new diplomatic status will provide him with immunity to
enable him to roam and engage in legislative functions that he might
undertake during the tenure of parliament.? If it is the case that the
sanctions still stand, does that mean that he have to deligate functions to
his assistant.

My concern is, if Bbaba Jobe cannot travel would it be possible to change
him from being the majority leader? what are the constitutional implications
to this, should the need arise?

I hope someone can shed light on these fundamental concerns. I feel the
government and those that nominated him were either ill-advised or have not
reflected on the realities of the implications of this untenable posaition,
unless if they can renegotiate his status I think it was a bad move.
